About the role of Senior Business Development Manager
We are looking to recruit for a hungry and ambitious Senior Business Development Manager to join a successful Sales team in Central London (4 days office based whilst in probation with more flexibility for hybrid working when you pass probation):
This role will be a mix of managing top tier accounts whilst also developing new business with service providers for the Financial Technology sector.
As a Senior Business Development Manager (BDM), you will:
- Source and grow Sponsorship revenue across an allocated portfolio of events, reports and intelligence
- Develop new sponsorship opportunities with new prospects within the Finance and Banking sector selling to Buy Side and Sell Side clients
- Cover a full suite of solutions selling Sponsorship for events, industry reports, curated research, sector leading awards, digital advertising and thought leadership
- Develop and maintain quality relationships with existing and new customers; utilize analytical skills to understand customers changing business and technology issues and needs.
- Attend conferences in your territory and represent the company, brand and product offering (some overseas travel will be involved as part of the role)
- Strive to hit and exceed monthly sales revenue targets

Your Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 Years professional sales experience of within a media owner or events business
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
- Track record in event / conference Sponsorship Sales
- Experience of selling to Banks / Financial institutions would be beneficial but not essential
- Effective organization and time management skills.
- Excellent communications skills in person, on the phone and over email.
- Goal orientated and a team player
