Technical Skills: (Primary)

  • Solid understanding of business analysis concepts, methods and practices in an information technology environment
  • Must have experince in UK insurance domain
  • Solid experience in SQL with database use, database platforms and analysing large datasets
  • General and London Market Insurance domain experience.
  • Experienced in defining data lineage from source systems to an Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Solid understanding of agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence others to improve processes and application quality.

Job Description:

• Act as a data subject matter expert for our new data platform, supporting business users and IT colleagues.

• Work with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and document them at an appropriate level. Once agreed then translate these into stories and tasks for development.

• Utilise specialist knowledge and experience of business areas, products and systems to ensure effective and innovative technical solution design.

• Work with QA colleagues to support the robust testing of changes.

• Plan and facilitate requirements elicitation sessions such as workshops and 1-to-1 interviews.

• Conduct system prototype demonstrations to validate requirements.

• Assist the digital product manager in facilitating the prioritisation of business requirements.

Education: Bachelors or equivalent
