A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Buyer (Indirects) has been created for a global, market leading manufacturing business based in Rocester with a salary of upto £55,000. This Procurement position has been created due to continued business growth. The Senior Buyer will sit in the non-production purchasing department, with excellent progression opportunities available.

As the Senior Buyer (Indirects) you will be responsible for either developing or delivering on the strategy for the Procurement Categories you are assigned, ensuring there is a robust and competitive supply chain.

Role responsibilities of the Senior Buyer include:
Develop procurement category strategies, working with key stakeholders accordingly.

Ensure early engagement within the teams across the business and suppliers to ensure the best products are being sourced at the start of the projects.

Identify and drive cost reduction activities across the business

Responsible for leading contractual negotiations with suppliers

Develop and lead supplier relationships to deliver tangible mutual benefits

Build strong relationships across the business and the supply base

Person Specification of the Senior Buyer:
Significant procurement experience specifically either in delivering purchasing strategy across the wider non-production categories or strategically implementing procurement strategy.

Experience developing and implementing successful long term category strategies

Salary

Up to £55k

This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a buyer, sourcing specialist, commodity manager, category manager or senior buyer
