Senior Care Assistant Days

Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.85 per hour + Paid Breaks + Overtime paid at £15.35 per hour
Annual Salary: £30,248.40

Hours: 8am - 8pm, two-week rolling rota:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

P4 Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join a new Care home in Chorley. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and mentor a team while delivering exceptional, person-centred care to our residents.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:

• Be a visible role model, mentoring and guiding Care Assistants with compassion and confidence.
• Take responsibility for the wellbeing of residents, promoting independence, dignity, and meaningful daily experiences.
• Administer medication safely using our electronic system and ensure accurate records, including the management of controlled drugs.
• Liaise confidently with healthcare professionals and families, maintaining open and supportive relationships.
• Monitor residents’ health, escalate concerns, and adjust care plans and risk assessments to reflect changing needs.
• Maintain high standards of care through regular supervision, training support, and quality assurance practices.
• Support the induction and development of new team members, creating a culture of continuous learning.
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards, health & safety legislation, and company policies at all times.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in elderly and dementia care environments.
• Demonstrated commitment to person-centred, high-quality care.
  NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.
