Senior Cash and Banking Finance Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cash and Banking Finance Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cash flow, ensuring that sufficient cash is always available across various business units and accounts. This role is critical in maintaining the financial stability and liquidity of the company, ensuring funds are in the right place at the right time.
Warwick (hybrid). This is a full-time permanent role, offering hybrid working and paying up to £63k depending upon experience.

Key Responsibilities as our Senior Cash and Banking Finance Analyst:
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Monitor and forecast cash flow positions to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements.
    • Manage daily cash balances and ensure that cash needs are met
  • Banking Operations:
    • Maintain relationships with banking partners, ensuring optimal service levels and negotiating terms and conditions as needed.
    • Oversee bank account management, including opening and closing accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Funds Allocation:
    • Ensure timely and accurate transfer of funds between accounts to meet liquidity needs across different business units.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash usage.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare regular cash flow reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for cash management strategies.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring all cash and banking transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to cash management
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to cash and banking operations.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve cash management processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    • Implement best practices in cash and banking management, leveraging technology and automation where possible.
Requirements for our Senior Cash and Banking Analyst role:
  • Qualified accountant
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cash management, treasury, or banking operations, preferably within a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and financial risk management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems and Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
