Senior Claims Handler - Medical Malpractice

Eames is currently working closely with a leading provider of medical negligence insurance. We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Handler, to manage complex medical malpractice claims across an international portfolio. This role involves managing clinical negligence cases, coordinating with solicitors, and working closely with clients to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Management: Handle a range of medical malpractice claims, from initial report to final resolution, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Investigations and Settlements: Conduct thorough investigations, determine coverage and liability, and negotiate settlements with the help of experts.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with underwriters, brokers, solicitors, and third-party administrators to provide top-notch service to clients and improve organisational performance.
  • Team Support: Assist in training and mentoring junior staff, and support the management of legal panels and large loss reviews.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in casualty claims, with international exposure preferred.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications to handle claims in different jurisdictions, especially the US, UK, and Ireland.
  • Mentorship: Ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
