Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor – South Yorkshire

  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 at home following probation)

My client is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their well-regarded firm in South Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in handling Clinical Negligence cases, and who is seeking a senior position in a firm that value growth and progression. The successful candidate will be self-proficient, with the ability to deal with multiple priorities and collaborate with colleagues.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Collaborating on complex clinical negligence cases alongside the Head of Department.
  • Managing their own caseload of claimant cases from start to finish, averaging 50 cases at once.
  • Preparing legal documents and reports for court proceedings related to clinical negligence cases.
  • Handling communication with clients, opposing parties, and other legal professionals.
  • Coordinating and communicating with medical experts to gather evidence and opinions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Clinical Negligence (preferably claimant but also open to defender).
  • Ability or willingness to independently manage a full caseload.
  • Proficient in using case management systems and other legal technologies.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues.
