Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that are transforming healthcare. The position can be based in either our London or Leicester office, with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days in the office per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based infrastructure to support healthcare applications and services.
Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security, implementing best practices.
Automate cloud operations and processes using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.
Monitor and maintain cloud systems, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate and deploy applications in the cloud.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
Stay updated with the latest AWS services, features, and industry trends to continuously improve our cloud strategy.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
Liaise with teams in Australia, requiring a couple of early morning meetings per week.

Qualifications:

Bachelor and #39;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, and IAM.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.
Strong scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
