We are seeking a Senior CNC Machinist to join our team. The Senior CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and programming, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Program CNC machines using Mazatrol and Mazak controls
  • Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and specifications
  • Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth production process
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise machining processes
  • Mentor and train junior machinists as needed
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and programming
  • Proficiency with Mazatrol and Mazak controls
  • Strong knowledge of CNC milling and turning processes
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Day-to-day
  • Setting up CNC machinery for production runs
  • Programming, setting and operating CNC machines
  • Conducting quality checks and measurements
  • Communicating with engineering and production teams to optimise processes
  • Training and mentoring junior machinists
