Are you a skilled Commercial & Contract Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity? Our client, a prestigious organisation, is seeking a Senior Commercial & Contract Manager to join their team.

As the Senior Commercial & Contract Manager, you will have a crucial role in developing and executing commercial and contract management strategies for a diverse portfolio of spend. Your goal will be to achieve the strategic aims and objectives of our client while ensuring compliance with financial regulations, contract standing orders, and procurement legislation. You will provide expert advice to senior stakeholders to ensure that budgets are spent efficiently and in line with budget strategies, minimising financial and reputational risks.

Your main duties will include:

  • Leading and managing complex procurement projects to ensure their successful delivery in line with customer requirements and timescales.
  • Managing strategic contracts and developing strategic partnerships with key suppliers to share risks and benefits.
  • Collaborating with customers to develop and deliver procurement savings plans, prioritising and delivering quantifiable efficiencies.
  • Negotiating and influencing stakeholders to ensure compliant contracts and value for money.
  • Identifying opportunities for regional and national projects to achieve savings and efficiencies through economies of scale.
  • Managing contract performance, working closely with customers and contract managers to meet or exceed KPIs and customer expectations.
  • Developing and implementing commercial and sustainable procurement strategies to increase public confidence.
  • Driving excellent customer service and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Significant experience in managing high-value category management and delivering procurement efficiency's.
  • Experience in managing or mentoring staff.
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Diploma and full corporate membership (MCIPS) Level 6 Graduate Diploma.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement legislation.

Desirable qualifications and skills:

  • Understanding of the operational needs for specific categories.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing procurement projects of significant complexity and value.
