Job Title: Senior Construction Legal Counsel
Location: Leicestershire - hybrid working
Salary: up to £90k plus benefits including car allowance, bonus, private medical and enhanced policies.
Our client, a leading organisation within the construction industry, is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Construction Legal Counsel to join their Legal and Compliance team based in Leicestershire. As a key member of the team, you will play a fundamental role in shaping the future success of the Group Legal function.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a broad spectrum of work, including the drafting, advising and negotiating legal agreements, specifically property and construction.
- Offer advice on construction matters which may include litigation, such as; terminations, pay less notices, and adjudications, and oversee external lawyer's input as needed.
- Collaborate with Senior Lawyers on complex and strategic projects.
- Providing guidance and advice to the business on legal matters.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with demonstrable construction experience.
- Proactive individual with the ability to cultivate relationships across the business.
- Commercially minded and able to balance risk with business objectives.
- In-house experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
