Senior Content Producer

Senior Content Producer

Summary

We have an opportunity for a Senior Content Producer supporting a new UK-wide partnership programme on an FTC until September 2026.

This new initiative will inspire and support towns and cities to put nature at the heart of their future plans, resulting in heathier, happier people and greener places.

The programme is designed to address inequalities in access to high-quality, nature-rich green and blue spaces; providing greater access to nature, so more people have green space within a short walk or wheel from home where they can feel supported and encouraged able to spend time being active outdoors.

Places taking part will form a new UK-wide network for change. As well as supporting each other on this journey, they’ll have access to an open library of resources, case studies and guidance.

What it's like to work here

We’re bigger than you think, we’re more complicated than we appear and we’re larger scale than you’d imagine. We’ve got passionate people in all our teams, and we’ve got so much more we want to achieve. We’re for everyone, for ever and we really mean that.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

What you'll be doing

You'll build, maintain, and grow a library of content to support those wanting to take part in the programme.

You’ll mainly be producing business-to-business content, targeted to a professional audience seeking inspiration, guidance and best practice. You’ll work with experts from places across the UK, and from all sorts of disciplines. So as well as understanding digital content formats and how to use them most effectively, you’ll bring your understanding of what makes brilliant business-to-business content.

You’ll be tasked with bringing this all together, making it not just cohesive, but a brilliant demonstration of our tone of voice/editorial guidelines.

As well as written formats, you could be working with audio, video and graphics – finding the best format for the message. Sometimes you’ll be copywriting, other times you’ll be editing, and sometimes you’ll be managing freelancers or agencies. So, you’ll need to be comfortable with all of those roles, and specialist content production skills will be a definite bonus.

Who we're looking for

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Exceptional editorial skills and extensive experience of planning and delivering content across multiple channels, including web and email
  • Experience of working in a large organisation and managing complex projects and deadlines
  • Line management experience, you'll manage the day to day resourcing of the team
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including external and internal stakeholders
  • Big picture thinking and strong understanding of how content can be integrated across channels for optimum impact
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of data analytics and evaluation
  • Strong project management skills as well to help with managing content production across a number of resources, channels, sources and contributors.
