Senior Credit Controller

Description

• Overseeing the entire credit control process within the finance department.
• Implementing new policies to enhance the department's performance.
• Managing debtor balances to ensure that financial targets are consistently met.
• Liaising with customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate repayment plans.
• Conducting credit checks on potential clients.
• Preparing reports detailing the status of credit control within the company.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identifying improvements to the credit control process and implementing changes where necessary.

Profile

A successful Credit Manager should have:

• A strong educational background in Accounting or a related field.
• Previous experience in a credit control role within an FMCG environment.
• Proficiency in using financial software systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• An ability to manage a team effectively and inspire team members.
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to use these to make informed decisions.
