Meraki Talent are working with a leading global bank in their wholesale lending division to help them identify a Senior Credit Risk Lead within their commercial property lending business.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • To evaluate, recommend and approve transactions and annual reviews within personal approval authority
  • Assist the Head of Credit
  • Assessing on a continuous basis, the credit quality of the allocated portfolio with a particular view to ensuring the appropriateness of and approved limits, and whether emerging signs of concern warrant a customer being placed on the Watch, Worry, Monitor list.
  • Providing expertise, to the business and regional credit teams, cover the allocated industry of loan product area in the case of specialised lending.
  • Managing and improving the risk profile within the Customer Segment by implementing lending and credit guidelines and ensuring credit standards are consistent with Group policy objectives
  • To ensure prudent and well-structured credit proposals and minimise credit losses
  • To provide qualitative and meaningful input on the business’s operating units/lending portfolios.
  • Formulate, recommend, implement & maintain credit policies, guidelines, standards and processes.
  • Ensure all Basel 2/3 regulations are enacted as ‘business as usual’
  • Implement the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant laws, rules
We are looking for someone with:
  • Demonstrate commercial credit skills, not only on a transaction basis but also credit process management.
  • Customer contact
  • General knowledge of law, accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship skills
