Role: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Solihull, West Midlands
Hybrid: in office 2/3 days a week
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience)
Insight into the Company:
This organisation is a wide-reaching conglomerate and is one of the largest hospitality and trade companies. As a senior data engineer on their team, you will be driving the development of their loyalty app - which already has over 1 million downloads.
The ideal candidate will be a team-player, supporting a team of four data engineers whilst focussing on the data science workstream. The role will involve working with stakeholders across the business to understand what is required for maximum efficiency, so requires a business-minded individual. Furthermore, any experience in customer analytics would be a great advantage.
Role and Responsibilities:
- You will focus on connecting the loyalty app system with transaction histories to create analyses of marketing and media strategies to enable optimal monetisation
- You will be working with the team to link data sources, ingest GA4 data, and transform and ingest data
- You will ensure the data is clean in the datasets through data quality tests
Skills and Experience:
- Essential to have 4+ years experience in:
- SQL
- Python
- Extracting and transforming data from GA4
- Desirable to have experience with:
- ML Models
- Snowflake as a data warehouse
- DBT for data transformation

Interview Process:
- There are two stages to the process:
- A 30-minute discussion about experience
- An in-house challenge where you will be tasked to work with data from their competitors on pricing and then Q&A session
