What you'll be doing:

The Senior Data Governance Analyst acts as a key advisor, taking a leading role in driving data governance initiatives across People’s Partnership. This role is responsible for overseeing critical data governance processes, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.

The role supports in establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the data governance framework for People’s Partnership. The role will support in embedding governance and stewardship activities in the business. Initial focus will be heavily biased towards our member data but will evolve to encompass all data.

  • Lead the development and practical implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures that will enable work to be approached in a consistent way, resulting in scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure data definitions, classifications, and metadata are accurately documented.
  • Oversee data issue resolution initiatives, including defining metrics, root cause analysis, and remediation strategies.
  • Support the Data Governance Manager in building and maintenance of a central data glossary, data asset register, reporting catalogue and metadata. Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure these are accurately documented.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure consistent data definitions, classifications, and documentation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in data governance, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including executives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
  • Advanced in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI).
