Senior Data Scientist

My client, a leading insurer, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to play a pivotal role in their Data Transformation project and enhance their data science capabilities. This organization values long-term partnerships, innovative solutions, and collaborative culture.

This is a hybrid/London based role, offering up to circa £90,000 depending on experience plus benefits and bonuses.

The job:

• Lead data science projects to drive data cleansing, data mining, and automation.
• Collaborate with actuaries to provide insights for underwriting profitability.
• Utilize AI techniques to automate manual business tasks.
• Extract and analyze data from external sources for proactive analytics.
• Support and upskill junior data scientists and analysts.

The candidate:

• Proficiency in programming (Python, PyArrow, PySpark).
• Experience with machine learning libraries (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn).
• Familiarity with cloud computing (MS Azure Cloud, Azure ML Studio, Azure DevOps).
• Strong skills in database management and SQL.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively.
