My client, a large consultancy organisation is on the lookout for a Senior DevOps Engineer on a contractual basis.

Location: Remote (must be located in the UK)

Duration: 12 months

Day rate: £525 (Outside of IR35)

Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer specialising in Azure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure and services, developing CI/CD pipelines, and automating infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools (ARM templates, Terraform, Bicep).
  • Monitor and optimize Azure resources for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services (AKS, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage).
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of networking, security best practices, and cloud governance.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
