Senior Digital Delivery Lead - Retail - Staffordshire

We are currently seeking a Senior Digital Delivery Lead for one of our major retail clients.

This role will include setting up a new team in their Digital Centre of Excellence Programme and being the main point of contact for Software Delivery, Management of Third Party Vendors, Web, Applications, APIs, Integrations and Customer Data Platforms. You will be responsible for the recruitment of this team and the day to day management of the Digital Delivery Team.

Role Requirements and details:

• Be accountable for delivery across the Digital Technology programme
• Analyse, evaluate and manage delivery risks, producing overall governance and recommendation for leadership teams and stakeholders
• Create and implement effective ways of working to driver overall delivery and continuous improvement of processes and performance
• Establish overall Digital Delivery plan, managing dependencies between delivery teams and non-Digital affiliated teams (e.g. infrastructure, EPOS teams)
• Create and maintain resource plans to ensure successful delivery
• Recruit and enable a team of delivery managers and business analysts
• Line management of team members including performance management and the development and retention of the team
• Deliver high quality software solutions to enable Digital development through internal and external partner resources
• Engage, enable and govern partner performance to ensure cost effective, high quality development services
• Work with all CoE teams to ensure well planned environment provision across the Digital estate and instigate robust release planning across project phases and environments
• Work with project and product teams to estimate and resource initiatives and proactively engage to continuously improve operational effectiveness, cost and agility, whilst also removing and mitigating challenges to ensure successful delivery
• Consult and engage as part of their strategy to expand Digital development capabilities inhouse and initiate and manage engineering initiatives and projects to support this

From you:

• Experience in delivering through multiple teams across different workstreams
• Good knowledge of development practices within the Software Delivery Lifecycle
• Proven track record of successful delivery in the Digital technology sphere
• Understanding of the practicalities of delivering technical projects, solving problems both around technical delivery and people related issues
• Excellent knowledge of Agile development practices but also the application of hybrid approaches
• Experience of managing multiple third party partners and vendors and have evidence of increasing the value received
