Senior Drainage Engineer- Leeds

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Flood Risk Engineering, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Design Engineer to join a team based in Leeds.

You will work on varied civil engineering projects spanning residential, education, healthcare and the Private Sector. You will be required to support team members by checking and amending technical work and providing technical advice when needed.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and Residential Drainage or Sewerage Designs in respect of S104 and S106 using Microdrainage or Causeway Flow.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally as you will be expected in the office 3 days per week.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a specialist team based in Leeds. You have the opportunity to complete varied residential, commercial, education and healthcare projects for Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers, Contractors and Local Authorities. You will also have the opportunity to manage projects, check technical designs and mentor team members.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategy.

-Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD, Causeway and Microdrainage for S104 and S106.

-Drainage Area Planning.

-Civil Design using AutoCAD and PDS.

-Client meetings to ensure projects are running to time and budget.

-Training and mentoring team members.

-Checking and amending technical drainage designs using Microdrainage.
