Senior Ecologist
My client, a world-leading, multidisciplinary engineering and design consultancy, is looking for an experienced Senior Ecologist to take on a hybrid role based in their Exeter office, covering the Southwest and Wales.

Responsibilities as Senior Ecologist
Working as a Senior Ecologist for this world-leading multidisciplinary consultancy, you would collaborate with diverse, dynamic teams and stakeholders, and would help oversee and coordinate infrastructure projects and project management. As Senior Ecologist you will use your extensive experience to plan and carry out surveys, coordinate ecological mitigation efforts, and use methods like biodiversity net gain (BNG) and natural capital to analyse survey data. You will mentor junior team members and write and review ecological reports and licence applications and provide guidance.
Senior Ecologist Criteria
- BSc/MSc in ecology or similar relevant field (essential)
- Considerable relevant experience
- Project management experience
- Strong botany background (FISC level 4 desirable)
- Protected species survey licences e.g., Bat licence (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
