Our client is the world’s leading independent manufacturer in their sector.

They design develop and manufacture safety equipment for numerous sectors globally.

They are now looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, to join a team working on projects to design circuits and develop software, integrating these into mechanical housings ready for testing and manufacture.

THE ROLE

  • Prototyping and Breadboarding.
  • PCB layout design using Altium.
  • Design for CE marking, EMC and Low Voltage Directive.
  • You will take lead of electronics activities related to manufacturing and production test systems.
  • Propose, develop and implement new solutions for manufacturing improvement
  • Test and validation internally and with third-party approval bodies.
  • Working from their manufacturing centre / offices initially. The role has the scope to develop into a hybrid work from home role, once the right candidate has develop knowledge of their business.

THE CANDIDATE

  • You could have a City & Guilds or NVQ/ONC/OND/HND/HNC or Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • You will have proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design using Altium or similar.
  • Any experience programming in C for PIC 8-bit & 16-bit microcontrollers would be highly advantageous but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of Assembler for legacy products is advantageous, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.
  • Design for manufacture and test with familiarity in modern PCB assembly and test techniques.
