Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a London broough Council who are seeking an Employment Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further detailsd with regards to this role.

ROLE: Senior Employment Lawyer / Employment Lawyer
LOCATION: London / home working
RATE: £45.00 to £55.00 per hour
CONTRACT: 6 months with possibility of extension

Please note that this position would require office attendance 1 or 2 times per month.

The Role of the Employment Lawyer

  • To manage and progress full caseload of a varied mix of Employment (and some education )matters through to completion
  • Matters will include the settling of pleadings, preparation for hearings, provision of advice and representation of the Council in all courts, Tribunals and Inquiries
  • Hearings will predominantly be online

The Person

  • A qualified Solicitor, legal Executive or Barrister with a current practising certificate
  • Dealing with Employment Law within a public sector organisation would be essential for this position
  • Previous education experience would be advantageous, but this can be developed
