THE ROLE

They are now looking for an experienced Senior Event Operations Manager to take a pivotal role in overseeing the operational aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring that all events are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with the Group Event Director to develop and implement operational plans for each event.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events
  • Develop detailed event schedules and timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible arrangements for each event.
  • Develop and manage event budgets.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to the Group Event Director and senior management.
  • Risk management and compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding event operations.
  • Oversee the setup, execution, and teardown of events, ensuring all operational aspects run smoothly.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations.

The Candidate

Candidate must come from an operational delivery background having managed and delivered large scale events previously, ideally from within an association, conference organiser or exhibition organiser type business. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills are key.
