This small, dynamic healthcare charity and membership organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Events Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. The role will have oversight of their flagship conferences, working with experts from within the healthcare field to plan content, and managing all aspects of budgeting, logistics, and delegate management.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Events Manager Role:

  • Act as the main point of contact for speakers for the events.
  • Identify, assess, and manage relationships with suppliers and third-party agencies.
  • Liaise closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to shape the schedule of content for both conferences, leading on the development of the final conference programmes.
  • Publicise and oversee the offer of exhibition space to approved exhibitors, including management of any health and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate venue requirements, including room set-up, catering, and signage for events.
  • Direct the work of on-site staff for events, delegating according to needs arising.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional experience.
  • Event management skills, ideally with 5 years' experience of successful delivery of a programme of events for a healthcare-related organisation.
  • Adaptability, problem-solving abilities and crisis management skills.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and event management packages.

Salary and Information:

  • c£43,000 to c£59,000 per annum.
  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Based in Central London, with provision for remote working part of the week.
  • Excellent benefits, including 30 days’ annual leave and a generous pension scheme.
