Senior Finance Analyst - HRA

Cedar is collaborating with a local authority in London to recruit an interim Senior Finance Analyst with Housing Revenue Account (HRA) experience to join their Resources team, and support on specialist, senior financial and accounting matters, lead financial strategy and oversee operational and transactional functions.

Rate: £500 per day Inside IR35

Location: London

Working Pattern: 2-3 days in office per week

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in departmental budget arrangements.
• Deliver considerable input on corporate financial processes and coordinated annual accounts and budgeting processes.
• Manage a team of 3 members of staff, lead professional training and nurture career development.
• Liaise with external organisations and upkeep effective working relationships.
• Create complex corporate financial processes.
• Lead on statutory financial reporting and ensure the accuracy of annual accounts, government returns etc.
• Attend committee meetings and draft financial implications for the formal reports.
• Advise on the implications of audit reports and make recommendations of actions to be taken.

Requirements

• CCAB Qualified Accountant with significant post qualification experience.
• Housing Revenue Account (HRA) experience.
• Leadership experience within a large organisation.
• Demonstrable experience advising and overseeing large and complex budgets and driving improvement.
• Ability to explain complex financial issues to non-financial managers.
