Senior Finance Assistant

Job Title: Part-Time Senior Finance Officer
Location: Birmingham - Sparkhill
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum (pro rata)
Contract Type: 3-6 Month Contract
Working Hours: Part-Time - 3 Days a Week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
Systems: Experience with Business Central / Microsoft Dynamics is desirable

Job Purpose:
Our client, a reputable charity, seeks a Part-Time Financial Management Specialist to manage internal financial systems, maintain accurate records, and produce draft management accounts for the Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain financial systems and controls.
2. Oversee payroll process with external payroll service.
3. Produce and submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC.
4. Ensure prompt banking and verify bank reconciliations.
5. Raise invoices and manage credit control.
6. Process purchase invoices and support the Finance Team.
7. Produce management accounts for financial performance monitoring.
8. Assist with year-end, audits, and budgeting.
9. Supervise finance team members and volunteers.
10. Oversee procurement compliance.

Requirements:

• Experience in financial management.
• Familiarity with Business Central / Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
