Our client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider, is currently seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team in Warrington. Our client is known for enhancing the efficiency of assets, ensuring high availability, and reducing maintenance costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Commercial and Operational management, providing financial insight to drive business improvement through higher margins and faster cash conversion.
  • Developing the team of Finance Business Partners.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Finance Leadership Team to implement the wider finance strategy.
  • Support ERP optimisation within the finance team, contributing to projects and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Review and approve month-end reporting for contracts, ensuring robust and timely reporting to Group.
  • Minimise working capital requirements through monthly debt and WIP reviews and influence payment terms in contracts/bids.
  • Become a trusted Finance partner for commercial/operational stakeholders.
  • Attend commercial reviews and project boards to improve processes and drive actions.
  • Support continuous improvement and margin improvement processes by providing facts and evidence of improvements and sharing knowledge between business units.
  • Support the budgeting and rolling forecast process, ensuring balanced yet challenging targets are set and achieved.
  • Review estimates and tenders to validate margin estimates and cash flow forecasts.
  • Drive change and improvement within the department and across business processes.
  • Support additional projects and transformation initiatives as required.
Job Requirements:
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Demonstrable FP&A and commercial finance experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
  • Commercial and resilient character with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerBI.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience using SAP.
  • Experience in the engineering or professional services sector.
