Role Overview

You will support the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in delivering high-quality management reporting and business partnering services, enabling effective business insights into costs and supporting decision-making. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Finance Business Partner to review, constructively challenge, and develop processes/procedures and reports to drive this change and facilitate continuous improvement so that they are efficient and effective. It will be critical for the role holder to build a sound understanding of the business and its environment, and actively drive forward the successful management of costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Performance Monitoring: Lead the monitoring and reporting of budgets and forecasts, ensuring clear understanding of variances and trends.
  • Business Partnering: Develop strong relationships with Directors and budget holders, providing robust financial insights and decision support.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and refine financial reports, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare and review monthly management reports, cashflow forecasts, and budget reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support the development ofa team of Finance Business Partners, ensuring effective operation and achievement of deadlines.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Recent people management experience
  • Practical experience in business partnering and financial reporting.
  • Excellent budget preparation and cashflow management experience.
  • Familiarity with performance KPI monitoring and government reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; NetSuite desirable).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proactive, innovative, and motivated towards excellence.

Qualifications:

  • CCAB qualified/finalist (ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS, or ICAI) with 3-5 years of PQE experience, or equivalent experience.
