Senior Finance Manager (12 month FTC) | Global TV and Film Broadcasting Business
Harmonic is thrilled to be working on an exclusive basis with a Global TV and Film business known internationally for their dramatic content and gripping documentaries. This Senior Finance Manager position is a 12 month fixed term contract maternity cover, with the possibility to be extend by 1 - 3 months.
The Client
Our client is a world-leading TV and Film broadcasting business with a global presence, managing several subsidiaries with a focus on factual and documentary programming. The business has a strong streaming and online presence and continues to grow despite ongoing challenges in the wider TV and Film industry, with a keen, adaptive eye on the market and delivering what consumers are looking for in their entertainment. With a global presence and regional revenue of £100mil, our client has made a name for themselves as a resilient and exciting broadcasting business ahead of the game.
The Role:
Leading a team of three, the purpose of this role is to pro-actively offer insights and proposals to ensure internal controls, processes and working practices are appropriate, complete and efficient, whilst fulfilling the needs of an expanding business and delivering the governance finance requires. This will include looking where possible to utilise all available systems within the organization to provide timely, accurate financial reporting and relevant KPI's for the Group so that the management team has the information it needs to support commercial strategies and tactical decision making.
Reporting into a fantastic Finance Director and wider SLT, this role will offer autonomy from the start and will require candidates to hit the ground running and add value quickly. With the business priding themselves on their industry leading culture, this role will suit driven candidates who enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong growth mindset, be confident with relationship building and have humility in how they approach their work.
Responsibilities:
- Lead completion of balance sheet and cash flow compared against budget and forecasts
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Partner with wider business to ensure understanding of the finance function
- Ensure all appropriate financial controls are in place across the businesses different regions
- Take responsibility for tax and regulatory compliance
- Manage Accounts payable processes ensuring suppliers are dealt with on a timely basis and stakeholder relationships are maintained
- Ensure adequate control of payroll across the group
- Adopt mindset of continuous process improvement across finance department
What we need to see (required):
- Fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Previous line management experience
- Cash flow and payroll experience
- SAP experience
What we'd like to see (bonus):
- Previous experience in the Creative Industries (TV/Film/Media/Marketing)
- Power BI / Tableau experience
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
Location: West London
Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days WFH (remote)
