Senior Finance Manager

A global market leader in the media for sports and entertainment require an interim Senior Finance Manager role lead a divisional finance team for a period of 6 months based in West London. This opportunity offers full P&L responsibility for a key division of the business. The role with lead all accounting and FP&A processes.

The required person in this role will be qualified with significant PQE and have broad finance and accounting skills at a senior level. You will possess strong management skills as well as process improvement experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Operational Management

• Ensure smooth running of financial operations, ensuring the accurate and timely flow of information between the business unit and the shared service functions
• Support the business leads in queries and advising on tax compliance and foreign tax recovery in liaison with Corporate tax teams
• Delivering weekly cashflow forecasts to FP&A teams

Management Accounting & Reporting

• Preparation of month end accounts in line with US GAAP, ensuring accuracy of revenue and cost recognition
• Preparation of variance analysis and commentary for both corporate submission and client reporting
• Partnering with production heads to understand production cost budgets including drivers of changes, tracking and monitor risk and opportunities across all productions - highlighting in a timely manner
• Prepare, analyse and present to stakeholders monthly performance providing insightful reports and commentary behind key drivers of performance

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Prepare and submit timely budgets and forecasts, approved and understood by the business on a quarterly and annual basis
• Deliver high quality budget packs clearly outlining key milestones and accountability for achieving budget targets and deliver to budget heads

Person Requirements:

• Qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA/CA with significant post qualified experience
• Strong management/leadership skills
• Broad accounting knowledge at a management/senior level
• Experience with SAP
• Process improvement skills
• Ability to working in a fast paced and dynamic business
