Senior Financial Accountant

My client is a prestigious Patent & Trademark firm based in the heart of the City of London. They represent a broad range of clients including major domestic and international corporations, SMEs, universities, and individual inventors.

They are now looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant. The successful candidate must be a qualified Accountant and had experience working in financial accounting.

Responsibilities

• General financial accounting for the LLP and related entities
• Month end process including all adjusting journals
• Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assist with partnership accounting (current accounts / tax reserves / capital accounts)
• Assist with daily cashflow monitoring and general treasury functions
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Review of month end bank reconciliations
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Annual submission of P11D information to tax accountants
• WIP and receivables ledger reviews
• Coordinate year end audit for the LLP and related entities
• Completion of surveys and benchmarking processes
• Assist Finance Director with ad hoc projects

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience working in a similar role within a professional services firm
• Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop a strong financial control environment
• High proficiency with Excel
• Knowledge of VAT rules
• Knowledge of SRA Accounts rules would be an advantage but not essential
