Senior Financial Accountant 

Location: Leicester  Salary £45,000 to £60,000

The Role

Our Client, an SME business in the construction sector in Leicester – is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining fixed-asset register including additions & disposals, preparation & posting of monthly depreciation & agreeing to P&L / balance sheet,
  • Agree monthly payroll nominal report & post journal,
  • Month-end reporting, assisting the Management team in preparation of statutory accounts & audit packs for a range of businesses.
  • Assisting with monthly P&L reviews, budgets & forecasts,
  • Assisting with preparing detailed monthly P&L & balance sheet reports,
  • Preparation of cashflow statements & controlling expenditure / cash flow for various companies
  • Management of credit limits.

The Right Person

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA, AAT or Qualified By Experience,
  • Possess demonstrable experience in accounts preparation together with knowledge of VAT rules,
  • Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 would be an advantage,
  • Knowledge of Payroll & CIS would be advantageous,
  • Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
  • Numerate, analytical with attention to detail,
  • Excellent planning, organisation and the ability to achieve deadlines.

Package

  • Appointment Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (subject to experience)
  • Hours: Full-Time
