We are looking for a detail focused Senior Financial Accountant who can deliver monthly reporting across a complex, multi-entity, international technology business that offers exceptional career mobility. This position reports directly into an brilliant Senior Finance Manager and is offering high levels of autonomy as well as exposure to an experienced EMEA Finance Director.

The Role

The successful Senior Financial Accountant will manage the following:

• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close for assigned EMEA and APAC entities.

• Perform reconciliation and detailed analysis of all balance sheet and major income statement accounts.

• Work with the country leads and local operations teams to prepare cost plans and forecasts for each entity.

• Review monthly and quarterly reconciliations of overseas accounts receivable and participate in the period end assessment and review of bad debt reserves and accruals.

• Review and analyse the entities’ expense activity in support of global accounting and financial analysis.

• Review and analyse overseas entities’ expense activity in support of tax accounting and income tax compliance.

• Manage local accounting vendors’ preparation of corporation, payroll and indirect tax returns.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations of intercompany balances across the group.

• Prepare and maintain US GAAP to local international GAAP analysis and US GAAP and local international GAAP to tax analysis.

• Manage yearly statutory audits of all entities including preparation of all audit schedules and timely responses to audit requests

• Support various accounting and financial reporting projects and analysis.

• Participate in business process improvement initiatives and related implementations.

We need someone who is technically capable and comfortable with monthly reporting. Great attention to detail and a desire to partner with stakeholders internally and externally e.g. FP&A, auditors and tax advisors is essential!

Your Profile

We are looking for a well-educated and bright qualified accountant, either making their first step from practice or moving within industry.

Someone with prior experience as a financial/management accountant or someone who has experience delivering outsourced accounting services, accounting advisory or audits in practice.

We need someone ambitious who has the mindset to add value and pro-actively make improvements wherever possible.
