Within this role, the post-holder will play a pivotal role in conducting the day-to-day technical financial accounting activities of the business, while also providing good insight and information to internal and external parties. Additionally, the job holder will be a key knowledge base for matters revolving around IFRS and will ensure the business is compliant with this.

Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Taking responsibility to prepare the Group Financial Statements for the half year and full, end year deadlines, ensuring that all information and accounting standards have been incorporated
  • Reviewing the Groups subsidiary financial statements, making sure these are prepared on time
  • Providing analysis of the Group accounts consolidation and preparing primary statements within the half-year and year-end financial statements
  • Preparing the monthly cashflow statement, providing detailed analysis including of the working capital, along with the support of key stakeholders
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis as well as managing the monthly journals for the Groups subsidiaries
  • Overseeing the Groups lease accounting, ensuring this is completed accurately in-line with IFRS 16
  • Reviewing ESEF tagging for CGUs in the UK
  • Acting as a point of contact for external auditors, ensuring that all information is supplied in a timely and accurate manner for the auditors throughout the process
  • Providing information to various external and internal stakeholders as required that may relate to the company's financial performance, ensuring that the information is in an easily digestible format

What You Will Need To Apply:
To be considered for this highly exciting role, you must be a fully qualified accounting professional - ACA, ACCA or CIMA. You should have strong, up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and specifically IFRS 16 is highly desired. Additionally, you will need strong relevant experience within a similar financial accounting role, gained from within a large group business, and preferably possess practice experience as well, from within a leading 'big 4' accountancy practice (PwC, EY, Deloitte or KPMG). Excellent stakeholder management is required to be successful in this role. Alongside this, you should have top-tier Excel knowledge, including vlookups and pivot tables.
