Senior Financial Reporting Manager, Transportation, London, £70k + brilliant benefits

We are working for an established transportation business, part of a larger PE backed group who are going through an exciting time of investment and growth.

They are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join their successful finance function. Reporting directly into the Head of Finance you will lead a small team taking ownership of financial reporting, balance sheet & cash flow and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Procedures: Develop, maintain, and improve financial accounting procedures to ensure accurate, complete accounts
  • Reporting: Collaborate with the Head of FP&A to produce financial reports, focusing on balance sheet and cashflow elements for both the Group and key stakeholders. Investigate and communicate variances, provisions, and improvements with functional heads and the Head of Finance.
  • Year-end Reporting: Oversee year-end reporting, including statutory accounts. Liaise with Group finance, auditors, and HMRC.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Review all balance sheet reconciliations and the key controls checklist every period, ensuring satisfactory completion and documentation.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with the Head of Finance and Head of FP&A on balance sheet and cashflow budgeting and forecasting.
  • Project Accounting: Oversee project accounting, including finance and capital expenditure reporting, coordination of capex forecasting and budgeting
  • Team Management: Manage at team of 3. Providing training, support and learning development

Essentials

  • Qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE experience
  • Strong technical accounting experience

Desirables

  • Navision experience
  • Experience working within the Transportation sector
