The role of Senior Manager FP&A will manage the Financial Planning, reporting & Commercial Finance Function within the International Travel Business, reporting to the regional VP of Finance. The successful applicant will be working closely with the Commercial and Corporate Finance Functions.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior FP&A Manager:

  • Full ownership of the Annual Budget and Forecast Cycles (Budget, 3+9, 6+6 and 9+3) including all reporting to ELT, Corporate FP&A and other key stakeholders
  • Full ownership of monthly and quarterly Business Review Reporting packs and corporate deliverables for International Travel
  • Lead the 5-year Strategic Financial Planning process for International Travel
  • Develop key KPIs and analyses to support the International Finance decision-making process
  • Create, develop and maintain models to support the strategic objectives of the business, including the development of outputs to assist in short, medium- and long-term business planning
  • Develop a complete understanding of WEX’s cost environment to enable appropriate cost control support and partnering to heads of departments
  • Provide sensitivity and ad hoc analyses on financial models, testing the robustness of the models to changes in assumptions and assessing the risk of various project returns
  • Lead, manage and develop 2 analysts
  • Maintain and drive improvements in the use of planning systems (HFM, HFM Planning and TM1) for reporting and forecasting purposes

Skills & Experience:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ CIMA or global equivalent) and experience of PQE working in a day-to-day financial planning and analysis in a global company environment
  • Recent experience of working in the Planning function within travel and/or payments and/or financial services industries
  • Solid commercial acumen and business partnering skills
  • Experience of developing and maintaining financial planning and reporting models in Planning Analytics or other similar finance BI tool
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication and presentations skills
  • Experience managing and leading teams within a global matrix/international organisation
  • A self-starter with strong ambition to grow and develop, demonstrated by seeking out opportunities for advancement and assisting others as needed
  • Influencing & negotiating skills - ability to liaise with senior stakeholders and negotiate outcomes
  • Flexibility - displays a creative and flexible approach to meet the changing circumstances of a growing business
