Senior Front End Developer

Reassured Ltd is the largest non-advised life insurance intermediary in the UK with established locations in Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Southampton, Manchester, Bristol, Bournemouth and Chester.

We launched our new Advised business offering in 2021 and continue to grow our sales and support teams across the entire business this year. We arrange over 15,000 new customer life insurance policies per month with leading sales conversions and customer satisfaction metrics. The business is outbound, B2C sales from internet generated customer enquiries.

About the role

The Senior Front-End Web Developer is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Good fundamentals in HTML 5 / CSS3 and creating semantic, responsive layouts
• Working knowledge of JavaScript ES6+ and modern language features e.g. arrow functions, rest/spread, de-structuring
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks e.g. VueJS (preferred), React, Svelte, Angular
• Experience with CSS frameworks such as Tailwind / Foundation / Bootstrap
• Knowledge of CSS processors such as SASS / PostCSS
• Experience using version control systems git / GitHub / AWS Codebuild
• Experience working with RESTful APIs

Desirable Experience

• Experience of A/B split or multivariant testing
• Experience working with designs from tools such as Adobe XD / Figma / Sketch
• Webpack
• Node JS
• Experience working with an MVC framework such as Laravel, CakePHP or Zend.
