The Senior Funding Compliance Specialist role reports into the Compliance Manager and will operate as a senior funding and data specialist within the team supporting with day to day compliance and ILR data management activities. They will also be responsible for leading on all funding and ILR data queries and the management of The Apprenticeship Service (TAS/DAS) data mismatches (Dlocks).
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing compliance checks and ILR data for starts, withdrawals, breaks, gateways, achievements and other changes of circumstances.
- Pro-actively tracking key activities and producing reports/dashboard where required
- Dealing with complex funding and ILR data queries to identify issues and work with stakeholders to achieve timely resolution
- Providing advice and guidance to internal colleagues on funding rules and learner compliance queries.
- Providing technical support and guidance on queries associated with The Apprenticeship Service (TAS/DAS) for both external employers and internal colleagues.
- Managing and reporting on data mismatches (Dlocks) and working with internal stakeholders to resolve in a timely manner
- Running ILR submissions and working with ESFA produced ILR reports (Submit Learner Data portal)
- Managing and monitoring data queries highlighted within the Funding Rules Monitoring (FRM) reports
About you:
- Experience of working with apprenticeship funding and ILR data within a large DfE funded apprenticeship provision
- In-depth knowledge of the apprenticeship funding rules, ILR data and audit requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of The Apprenticeship Service (TAS/DAS) and managing Dlocks
- Working knowledge of MIS systems preferably Maytas, Bud and Aptem or similar ILR system
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with large complex data with confidence
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and able to multi-task and effectively prioritise work load
- Work independently on own initiative
