Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with Julian House, the charity dedicated helping thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment and away from domestic abuse. We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to help the charity grow income from corporate partnerships, major donors and family or community trusts across the South West, helping optimise the existing supporter base, establish a strong pipeline of new prospects and design inspiring engagement opportunities to steward high-value supporters.

Role: Senior Fundraiser - Philanthropy

Reports to: Senior Fundraising Manager

Location: Anywhere in the South West (although travel will be required to office hubs in Bath and Exeter, and across the region)

Terms: Full time, permanent

Salary: £29,000 plus generous benefits

Julian House has developed a loyal and generous supporter base over the past 35 years, which has helped the charity get where it is today. Now, as they move into their next stage of growth, with an ambition to reach 10,000 vulnerable and at-risk people by 2026, they want to shift gear on their fundraising to drive exponential growth. As such they are looking for someone who can develop their approach to fundraising from corporate partners, major donors and family or community trusts across the South West. You will be part of a small fundraising team where each member is given autonomy to innovate in their area and establish ambitious strategies for growth.

Skills and Experience needed:

  • Experience of leading fundraising activity relating to corporates, major donors and / or trusts and foundations.
  • Experience of working across a wide portfolio of work, managing your time effectively.
  • Experience of using CRM systems to interpret donor data and making decisions based on your analysis. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent your organisation to senior stakeholders and create high-quality written content for fundraising.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
