Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to help expand the company's technical services. This is a lovely, family-run business with a friendly team, with laughs and genuine relationships. Working as a senior member of a technical team within a fast-growing company, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with clients and junior members of staff for design packages from early feasibility and costing stages through to the completion and checking of formal design packages. Alongside supporting the teams existing experience the member of staff will have a pivotal role working with the technical director to help expand the company’s technical services and help make clients aware of these technical capabilities.

Location: Staffordshire (on-site) flexitime

Responsibilities

• Oversee, lead, and check formal design packages, manage process
• Attend customer meetings
• Help expand technical services
• Work with customers and the wider business team at an early stage feasibility design
• Provide technical support to the juniors in the team
• Assess and coordinate technical testing requirements on-site
• Driving the development of in-house technical services alongside the technical director
• Work on AutoCAD
• Attend company events if interested, such as hospitality

Requirements

• Easy to work with
• Preferable Degree in geology/ civil engineering BEng, BSc or equivalent
• MSc in Geotechnical engineering or Engineering Geology
• Chartered with a relevant professional body Cgeol or ICE
• +5 years experience in a relevant civil engineering/ geotechnical engineering field
• Knowledge of current geotechnical software
• Experience in AutoCAD
• Experience working closely with clients
• Knowledge of Eurocode/ British standard compliant design

Package

• Salary 38,000 to 48,000 depending on experience
• Pension, company contribution
• Hours- 37.5 per week. 8:30-5
• Holidays- 23 days + 5 days over Christmas + bank holidays
