Senior GIS Specialist (Renewable Energy)

Salary range of £40,000 - 50,000 dependent on experience.

Hamilton office with hybrid working.

Piper Maddox have partnered with one of the most reputable developers of onshore wind and solar technology on the continued growth of their team. Following a significant capital investment, our client is growing across the board and shows no sign of slowing down as we continue this year!

Our client has been in the space for over 20 years and over this time, has put together a multi-gigawatt pipeline of projects in renewable energy. The have close to 2GW of projects currently in active development, and a similar capacity in their wider pipeline.

Their negotiations when it came to their capital investment was sure to maintain their existing pipeline and team - thus preserving the strong collaborative culture and team of experienced renewables professionals that have made this company the success they are today!

They are currently looking at growth in their team with the addition of a Senior GIS Specialist. This person will be responsible for providing geo-spatial insights for site feasibility, project mapping services, identifying site constraints, and visualizing GIS data for the wider team.

Your role would have a high level of involvement with the land/business development sides of the company - with the need for GIS site analysis becoming abundantly clear recently, your role would have a huge responsibility of maximizing project efficiency going forward.
This role would give you the opportunity to:

 Work on utility scale solar and onshore wind projects in the renewable energy
sector.

 Be at the cutting edge of renewable energy tech - pushing forward our clean energy
transition.

 With the growth of the team across all aspects of the business, this role would grow
in responsibility with the potential of gaining leadership experience down the line.

 Be interactive with the wider team, including land, development, planning, grid, and
technical engineering.
