�? About the Role:

As a Senior Housing Benefits Officer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our client's team managers, providing coaching and development support. You will ensure the achievement of key performance and service targets while covering for other senior officers when needed. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the assessment of applications for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support, particularly the more complex cases identified by the managers. As part of this vital role, you will also carry out benefit assurance work and provide support to staff on legislative matters and decision-making.

?? Key Responsibilities:

Administer applications for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support, adhering to regulations and policies.
Provide coaching support and development assistance to the team when necessary.
Cover for senior officers during their absence.
Support staff on reception and call centre teams.
Independently manage and distribute workload among the team.
Offer advice on all aspects of Welfare Benefits for the smooth operation of the Benefits Service.
Undertake other administrative duties as required.

�? Key Requirements:

Comprehensive knowledge of Benefits legislation, with the ability to stay up-to-date with changes.
Strong analytical skills to assess and verify Benefit claims.
Effective communication and written skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Numerical capabilities to calculate and reconcile claims accurately.
Proven ability to influence team behaviours and achieve performance goals.
Solid organisational skills to handle shifting priorities efficiently.
Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team.

?? Compensation:

Hourly rate starting from £27.99.
Temporary contract for 3 months.

Our client's office is conveniently located just a 12-minute walk from Ealing Broadway train station.
