From our office in Cheltenham, we offer a comprehensive range of tailored services to small and medium-sized employers throughout the South West and London.

We work on behalf of clients across all sectors including private, non-profit and charity. With a range of innovative services designed for today’s businesses, we act as a full outsourced HR department for SME’s, as well as delivering complex HR projects for larger companies.

Our business is built upon the quality and experience of our staff. The WorkPlace HR team possess hands-on experience in working in diverse customer service settings and with guidelines set by several regulators including CQC and Ofsted.

This is a Hybrid Role with minimum two days a week required in Cheltenham offices, possibly more during initial training.

The role:

The post holder is responsible for providing accurate, concise and practical advice on employment law and best practice for all level queries to a portfolio of clients. In addition you will:

o Act as first point of contact for a number of small to medium sized clients advising on all manner of issues relating to the employment of their staff on basic to medium level matters such as disciplinary, grievance, maternity, paternity, performance management and contract queries. Some administration may also be necessary subject to the client requirements.

o Conduct client Handbook and Contract reviews, as well as policy writing.

o Assist the admin team on HR related queries, and monitor that the advice provided to clients by the admin team complies with legislative requirements and best practice raising any concerns with the Director.

o Actively demonstrate a good knowledge of employment law and HR best practice and keep up to date with changes in legislation.

o Maintain detailed notes of calls taken and advice given. All advice and notes taken should be followed up via email with the client as soon as possible after the advice given.

o Update any HR systems when appropriate with all changes/documentation, in line with our process and procedures and client requirements

o Act responsibly every day to ensure the Company and clients remain diligent with their and our requirements under GDPR and Data Protection regulations in force.

o Constantly review and update any documents in line with legal or statutory changes.

o Travel to client sites as and when required.
