As our Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will join the team providing 3rd line support to numerous users using Windows 7 / 10 and SCCM, and also be our Technical Lead and mentor more junior members.

You do need to be eligible for SC and DV Clearance for this position.

Hybrid role based 3 days per week in Salisbury OR Portsmouth, though you will be based on site 5 days a week for the first 3 weeks,

What you'll be doing:

  • Progress incidents and problems
  • Provide Technical Lead support to other, more junior, site teams and projects
  • Provide good RCA within a sophisticated environmen
  • Maintain an in depth knowledge of Group Policy and AGPM
  • MECM management relevant to our team roles
  • Scripting - PowerShell, etc
  • Application packaging technologies
  • Package and distribute software components to the Enterprise using Microsoft MECM
  • Support of the corporate environment
  • Progress incidents and problems
  • Work within business and security frameworks (ITIL, JSP, etc)
  • Lead and take part in projects focusing on service issues

What you’ll bring:

  • MECM Administration - Software distribution, OS deployment and monthly Patches
  • Scripting - PowerShell, VBS etc
  • Software and Hardware integration and compatibility testing
  • Group policy, AGPM and client end points
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11
  • Operating System build and delivery mechanisms
  • Experience of VMWare products and virtualisation technologies (Horizon View, VSphere)
  • Experience of application packaging technologies, Application Discovery, Application Virtualisation (App-V), etc.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience of application whitelisting (ideally Applocker)
  • Software packaging, knowledge and experience of application packaging technologies including, Installshield / Adminstudio, Orca and Scripting - VBS, etc.
  • Endpoint device control
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • Knowledge of Software Testing using Sysinternals Tools, including Procmon

Employment Type: Permanent or Fixed Term Contract
