Senior IT Compliance Officer

Up to £55,000 – 6-month FTC

VIQU have partnered with a prominent retailer known for their extensive range of diverse lines of clothing, footwear and accessories from leading global brands. They are seeking a Senior IT Compliance Officer to join their team in Bury. The role will be for a 6-month fixed term contract, providing cover for an employee on maternity leave.

The successful Senior IT Compliance Officer will lead the charge in ensuring regulatory compliance by spearheading detailed audits, including those for PCI DSS and ISO 27001 standards. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting confidential investigations and managing subject access requests with the utmost discretion. You will also collaborate closely with the Project Management Office to ensure that both new and ongoing projects adhere to relevant regulations. Additionally, the Senior IT Compliance Officer will perform data protection impact assessments and oversee the security aspects of those conducted by other departments within the organisation.

Requirements of the Senior IT Compliance Officer:

  • Expertise in managing information security compliance aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
  • Conducting IT and compliance audits, including PCI DSS, with a focus on external cyber team operations
  • Proficiency in handling confidential investigations and subject access requests
  • Effective collaboration with project management teams for cybersecurity regulatory compliance
  • Performing data protection impact assessments and overseeing external cyber team security evaluations
  • Managing auditing software like AuditBoard within a cyber team framework
  • Updating information security policies and procedures in collaboration with the cyber team
  • Experience in vendor risk management aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 guidelines for external cyber team operations
  • Responding to access requests and ticketing systems from a cyber team perspective
  • Proactive approach to addressing phishing attempts and implementing preventive measures
  • Managing ticket queues and responding effectively within a cyber team environment
