Senior JavaScript Developer (Next.js for modern UI build)
Hybrid in Oxford preferred, currently remote first.
Full time, permanent.

Avanti Technology is currently partnering with an exciting Oxford University spinoff, who are developing a digital platform to revolutionise the healthcare industry.

The Senior JavaScript Developer will have excellent ideas on how to improve the current product offering, utilising a demonstrable track record with building slick modern UIs with Next.js, TypeScript and ideally Node.js for web, hosted on AWS.

Exceptional UI Development skills using Next.js are very important for this role. Great styling experience too with CSS and all the suitable friends and frameworks in the modern UI Development world (SASS, SCSS, Tailwind, TanStack query etc.)

An interest in UX for an optimal user experience and user journey will be useful, alongside an interest in usability testing to work alongside a UX specialist.

Some experience with React Native for mobile (expo and react-native-web or similar) would be advantageous.

The core objective of this app build is to make the product even more performant and a pleasure to use. Good knowledge around authentication, security, devops and AWS infrastructure and hosting would be optimal.
