Senior laboratory analyst

This is a permanent opportunity paying negotiable salary with added benefits.

Kenton Black is a recruitment partner to a food testing laboratory based in Cambridgeshire

Responsibilities:
Analysing soil and water samples using analytical techniques such as GC-MS, GC-QQQ, LC-QQQ and LC-MS
Analysing environmental samples using analytical techniques
Analysis and investigation of results
Provide training to junior staff members
Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
Work according to ISO17025 guidelines
To undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior managers
Qualifications:

Degree in chemistry or equivalent
Previous experience in working within an accredited laboratory such UKAS laboratory
Previous experience in using analytical techniques such as GC-MS, GC-QQQ, LC-QQQ and LC-MS
Is essential
Previous experience in working within a food chemistry testing laboratory is highly desired
Excellent communication and written skills
