iMultiply is engaged by one of the most well known SMEs in Scotland, in their search for a Senior Management Accountant based in Glasgow on a full-time basis. This role is available on a full time, hybrid working basis, operating from their city centre office twice per week.

The Role

As Management accountant you will report into the Finance Director, working closely with the Senior Finance Analyst and the Transactional Team Supervisor.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and stimulating environment, providing a high-quality service.

The role will have primary responsibility for the following:

  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
  • Managing the audit and providing audit file for auditors, dealing with and resolving all audit queries
  • Preparation and submission of the two legal entities in the groups VAT Returns
  • Implementing all necessary financial controls to create a strong control environment
  • Authorise payments on the banking system within specified transaction values
  • Prepare P11Ds and PSA Agreement
  • Strong excel skills essential
  • Other ad hoc analysis and projects required to assit with budget preparation / projects / commercial analysis

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria and attributes:

  • Experienced at the preparation of management accounts
  • Strong understanding of best practice with a solutions focussed approach to continuous improvement
  • A curious mindset with a tendency to ask questions and a hunger to learn

It would be beneficial, not essential, if the candidate has:

  • Or is working towards a professional accountancy qualification (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA),
  • Experience of Microsoft PowerBI and Sage,

On Offer

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary up to £60,000 depending on experience. In addition there is a generous benefits package including but not limited to a bonus and enhanced; parental leave, holidays and pension.

This is a full time role with a hybrid working model, two days in the Glasgow offices.
