Senior Management Accountant

We are currently partnered with a PE backed, highly acquisitive accountancy firm who are looking to bring onboard a Senior Management Accountant to work within their group function located in one of their regional offices based in Nottingham (hybrid working on offer).

As a Senior Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. From overseeing VAT returns to preparing monthly journal entries, you will be at the forefront of supporting our regional offices and contributing to their financial success.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for numerous evolving entities.
• Variance analysis and commentary on performance against budget and forecast.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, able to put controls in place.
• Support the Senior Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Identify areas for process improvement and drive efficiencies across the finance function.

Key requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) ideally looking for your first move from practice, however applicants who are at the finalist level with industry experience will also be sought after and considered.
• Experience as Management Accountant in a fast-paced environment, preferably with PE, retail, hospitality, manufacturing experience.
• Ambitious with strong commercial acumen and proven business partnering skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
